IS YOUR AGENT TAKING PICTURES WITH A SMARTPHONE?!?!
February 9, 2017
You hire an Agent… He/she tells you to focus on the “curb appeal” of your home. They preach against a dirty home and are an advocate of the “Anti-clutter Campaign”. You spend countless hours cleaning your home, re-arranging furniture, renting a storage facility, etc... The realtor comes back, satisfied, whips his handy dandy all in one smartphone and spends an entire ten minutes taking photos for the thousands of buyers to see! You look at the listing and notice all the bathroom pictures have him/her in it!
And your rooms look like the only thing they could accommodate would be a smurf!
How is that working for you?
Having professional photos of a home is extremely important and does not receive near the credit it deserves. Per a study done by NAR, in 2015, “92 percent of buyers used the internet in some way in their home search process”. The internet is THE source for finding homes. That is your homes first impression to the potential buyers. Do you really want an agent taking pictures with a smartphone; or, would you rather have a professional photographer?
A professional photographer vs an amateur with a smartphone or camera is a night and day difference. A wide angled lens allows for the entire room to be in one picture. The images are crisp and clear. The angles a professional use make the home have a demanding presence. The rooms look fit for a giant. Your home is modeled in such a way that is appealing to the masses. NO MORE LOOKING AT YOUR AGENT IN THE BATHROOM MIRROR!
You have one opportunity for a first impression, make sure your home looks as glamourous in photos as it does in person!
